We are pleased to announce that we carry cases from some of the most trusted brands in the string instrument industry. Musafia Studio Series Ultralight – The Studio series case has a polycarbonate shell with canvas exterior, and the interior is cotton velvet. Well-padded with a very snug fit around the body of the violin, this case is considered one of the best at protecting instruments without breaking the bank. It comes with four bow slots, an extra-large accessories compartment, and a velvet instrument cover. The upper half of the case also has a full-size pocket for any music or other accessories on the outside.

Shop case – This particular model has an oversized accessory pocket at the base of the violin rather than near the scroll. The outside of the case has a full-sized accessory pocket for any music or other items, and on the inside there are four bow slots as well as a plastic tube to hold spare strings. The included velvet cover helps keep your violin clean and protected, and it also comes with a hygrometer. Fit around the violin is standard. The latch locks with the provided key.

Shop case – This case comes with a generous external accessory pocket as well as one standard-sized and one oversized internal accessory compartment. It also has for bow slots, a hygrometer, and a string tube for any spare strings as well as a velvet instrument cover. The fit around the violin is standard, with a standard velcro closure. A key to lock the case is provided.

Shop case – This is the standard “student model” case that we provide with all of our rentals and basic student outfits. Please note color and overall shape may vary but features are the same. The case has a normal-sized external accessory pocket large enough for a few music books, and one small internal accessory compartment large enough for string envelopes and rosin. Fit around the violin is standard, with a velcro closure, and the case has two bow compartments. Most of our student model cases also come with a velvet instrument cover to match the shape of the case. The latch can lock with a key, but we recommend not using it for our rental outfits.

Deluxe Shop case – This is our “deluxe” model of shop cases we carry, and has all the trimmings of a professional-level case. Complete with a full-sized accessory pocket on the outer lid of the case as well as two small-sized and one oversized accessory compartment on the inside, this has ample room for anything you might need to carry with you. The string tube allows for carrying spare strings, and it also has four bow slots as well as a hygrometer and thermometer. The velvet instrument cover is quilted and richly colored to match the case. The latch can lock with the provided key. Fit around the violin is standard.

Shop case – This is one of our mid-range models of shop cases. It has a full-sized accessory pocket on the outside of the lid, as well as an oversized accessory compartment on the inside. A velcro strap on the inside allows for easy storage of a shoulder rest, and the velvet instrument cover protects the violin and keeps it clean. The case comes with two bow slots, a string tube, and a dual combination hygrometer/thermometer. The latch locks with the provided key, and the fit is standard.

Shop case – With a full-sized accessory pocket on the outside and one standard and one oversized accessory compartment on the inside, this case has ample room for anything you might need. The velvet instrument cover helps protect your violin, and the case’s fit around the violin is on the looser side but the velcro strap helps to hold your violin in place securely. Very good for larger full size violins. The leather loops for the four bow slots are less likely to snap or bend than plastic or metal, and the string tube allows easy storage of spare strings. The case also comes with a hygrometer, and the latch can lock with the provided key.

BAM Hitech Oblong – BAM’s Hitech model of cases are widely regarded as very durable and lightweight. The standard size accessory pouch is removable, held in place by velcro. A secure velcro closure helps keep the violin in place, and the fit around the violin is snug. A standard size accessory pocket big enough for a few music books can be removed if necessary by undoing the snaps. The case also comes with four bow slots and a string tube, as well as heavy-duty nylon backpack-style straps. Both latches are fitted with a very secure three-tumbler combination lock. Available shell materials are carbon fiber and fiberglass. All BAM cases come with a manual and warranty information.

BAM Hitech Overhead – Designed with the airplane traveler in mind, the Overhead is the epitome of a compact case. It doesn’t have any bow slots; bows are intended to be carried separately in a tube or case (not included). The case’s low-profile design allows for a large amount of protection without bulk, with padding where needed and no extra material. Both latches lock with a very secure three-tumbler combination lock. All BAM cases come with a manual and warranty information.

BAM Hitech Slim – A happy medium between the Oblong case and the Overhead case, the Slim keeps size in mind while still providing a decent amount of accessory storage. With a velvet instrument cover to match the case interior and one bow slot, the case is intended for those looking to travel light but not sacrifice the comforts of a standard oblong case. The case also includes a hygrometer as well as a removable small accessory pouch near the base of the violin. Newer models of the case have two bow holders as well as a pair of combination lock latches; subtleties in design may vary from year to year. “Cello” Shop case – This case is designed with a bit of whimsy in mind; it copies the iconic fiberglass cello case shape, and sizes it down for the violin. The base of the case has a standard sized accessory compartment, and the case also includes two bow slots. The violin is secured in place with a velcro closure, and the fit around the violin is standard. The case is closed by four latches styled after cello case latches, and has a fiberglass shell with polyester velvet interior.

Shop case – Another one of our mid-range shop cases. This one has a full-size accessory pocket on the outside of the lid, as well as two standard size accessory compartments inside the case. There is a third small accessory compartment underneath the neck of the violin as well. The violin is held in place with a pair of leather laces, a nod to the days before velcro. The case also includes an ornately styled hygrometer, four bow slots, and a latch that locks with the provided key. Fit around the violin is standard.

BAM Lotus Hitech for viola – This case can be ordered to fit all standard sizes of viola. The interior is velvet, with a durable polycarbonate shell covered with nylon fabric. It includes both a small and oversized accessory pocket on the outside of the lid, as well as a standard size accessory pouch on the inside that can be moved around as desired. The case also has four bow slots, as well as a secure three-tumbler combination lock. All BAM cases come with a manual and warranty information.

Viola Shop case – This case is adjustable to fit most standard size violas up to 16.5″. It comes with a full-sized accessory pocket on the outside of the lid as well as a standard size accessory compartment on the inside. The case also includes a hygrometer, a string tube for any spare strings, and four bow slots. The matching velvet cover protects your viola and keeps it clean, and the case’s latch locks with the provided key. Fit around the instrument is customizable; please ask for our help to fit the case to your instrument at purchase.

BAM Trekking – Designed for maximum durability for violinists that travel via subway or bus, the Trekking case has ample padding and shock absorption to protect your valuable investment. The foam lining has been contoured to fit a violin with a standard fit, and the violin can be secured in place with a pair of laces. Also included in the inside of the case are a standard-size accessory cutout and a string tube. The included bow tube straps securely to the outside of the case. The case also includes one small and one large size accessory pockets on the outside, as well as a handle on top for easy carrying in crowded public transportation.
