Tonica – Tonica violin strings are the top of the line synthetic core string from Pirastro. The special synthetic core is made of the finest and most flexible single filaments along with high quality winding materials. These strings are constructed using the latest manufacturing techniques, including strict quality control. They feature great dependability, full and powerful volume, lively sound with a high degree of modulation, extremely quick response, and they tune immediately and are resistant to changes in humidity.

Spirocore – Hi-tech, top grade strings with a flexible spiral steel core. This core has greater elasticity than that of conventional strings, which means more responsiveness. The sound is full and homogenous, balanced and voluminous. Spirocore is much favored by jazz bassists because of its suitability for amplified pickup tone. Dominant – Dominant series violin strings are one of the most widely-used synthetic strings. A highly flexible, multi-strand nylon core makes these comparable in sound and feel to natural gut. The E string is aluminum/steel or plain steel, ball or loop end.

Zyex – Zyex synthetic core strings produce an extremely warm, rich sound. Zyex strings are made from a new generation of synthetic material, creating strings that are incredibly stable under drastic climatic conditions. Corelli – Corelli Alliance Vivace by Savare are possibly the best synthetic core strings on the market. Corelli Alliance strings provide the warmth of gut along with great projection and stability.

Warchaal – Warchaal makes several different varieties, such as the Ametyst, Brilliant, Brilliant Vintage, Karneol, and Nefrit. Their sounds range from bright and lively to warm and mellow, with a variety of materials available as well.

Red Label – Super Sensitive Red Label strings are great strings for those that want a balanced tone on a budget. The full-core, nickel-wound strings are highly recommended by Suzuki Method instructors and other music teachers, as well as students and professionals. Their design is based on students’ needs, providing excellent tonal quality and dependability for a fair price.

Jargar – Jargar chromesteel strings have been a long time favorite for violinists, violists and cellists. They possess a powerful, robust tone with a bright response making it a good choice for folk style playing, or any music that uses a lot of double stops.

Larsen – Larsen cello strings are excellent, clean, clear and surprisingly rich steel-core strings featuring a big, warm sound with excellent focus and projection. Long life and great value are features of all Larsen strings, the first choice of many professional players. Larsen strings are one of the most popular professional grade cello strings.

Hill – These strings are generally warm and well-suited to instruments needing good general-purpose strings. They’re not highly recommended for solo work as their tone is somewhat mellower than soloist strings tend to be, but Hill E strings are very highly recommended for intermediate level violins.

Aricore – Pirastro Aricore strings feature a multifilament synthetic core (perlon) with aluminum winding for the A and D strings and a silver winding for the G string while the E string is plain steel. They are long lasting, stable in pitch, and feature a dark sound in comparison with other synthetic core strings.

Obligato – Pirastro Obligato strings are based on an exclusive new core material, along with advances in manufacturing techniques, resulting in the true warmth and complex overtones of gut core strings with the stability and quick response of synthetic core strings. Obligato has also demonstrated quick break in time, exceptional projection, and unusual durability.
