The Art Chinois is a line of string instruments made exclusively for Kamimoto String Instruments. These violins, violas, cellos and basses are made by internationally reknowned craftsmen in China, many of whom have won awards and honorable mentions at various violin making competitions. They understand that the choice of tonewoods is important to the sound of an instrument. Every instrument in the Art Chinois series is made with meticulously chosen tonewoods which are then separated into several grades in accordance to their tonal quality. The Art Chinois series is a line that you should not overlook if you are seeking a quality instrument at a very reasonable price.
These instruments are set up by our craftsmen here at Kamimoto String Instruments with an Aubert bridge. Bridges transduce the vibration from the strings to the soundbox of the instrument where the resonance of an instrument is then created.
